LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR GETTING MARRIED IN JAMAICA

 

 

  • Must be on the island a minimum of 48 hours prior to your wedding
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Birth Certificates
  • Copy of Passport
  • If either the bride/or groom have been divorced, all seal-stamped pages of Decree of Divorce are required
  • If widowed, a state issued death certificated with related marriage certificate
  • If any original documentation is issued in a language other than English, they must be translated into English and included in the documents sent.

All documentation must be sent notarized photocopies (with the notary's original ink signature and stamp
